Hole in the Wall Grill & Bier Garten

Hidden in the shadow of the Baker Hotel, our newly opened patio is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-10pm.   See your food being cooked in our outdoor kitchen.   We are family and pet friendly!  We have porch swings, swings for the kids, a ball run for the little guys, giant Jenga, cornhole, and LIVE MUSIC!   No Cover!   We are open mid-March - October- until it gets too cold to have any fun!   We have two large port-a-cools and with the patio being in complete shade by 6:30pm- it's actually quite pleasant even on the hotter evenings.   In the Fall we bring out the patio heaters, with some table top heaters to keep you toasty!   See our Menu below!   Join the Hole in the Wall Grill and Bier Garten group on Facebook to receive instant notifications on bands, updates, weather cancellations and such!  Come see us!

History

A few years back in 2016, Mineral Wells was in dire need for rain.   Our water supply was down to 9%.   It was bad.  REAL bad!   At the time our little courtyard was a mess- it was uneven and the weeds were high.   We all were praying for rain!   Well- the Lord answered and within a two week time frame our Lake Palo Pinto went from 9% to overflowing!   That's a lotta rain folks.   Well, when you get 7 inches of rain in an hour- it tends to cause problems in 100 yr old buldings. 

Fortunately Regan Wallace Johnson also owned that really ugly hole in the wall.    So with some really brave construction guys, a lot of personal investment, we were able to dig about 8ft. down weld up new support beams, and fill in the hole.   We figured since we were doing all that work, we might as well go ahead and fix up our patio.  People have been wanting us to be open in the evenings for a long time.   The only problem?  Our kitchen wasn't big enough to do dinner.  So we built and outdoor grill and the rest-  well, we're still figuring it out but folks seem to like what we do so we'll keep innovating and finding creative solutions that bring life to our beloved community!

They asked if we wanted them to try to match the bricks...  we said NO!   We don't want to forget what an endeavor it was and how the Lord provided for us RAIN and provision to repair the wall AND make a fun new spot for our friends and tourists to enjoy!    Welcome to the neighborhood!
